DIY Workshop Series: Sticker Party

Paddy Leung developed and produced a series of DIY art workshops with the mission of making all events free, accessible, and community-driven. One workshop was inspired by Leung’s childhood love of collecting stickers and a desire to bring that sense of joy, play, and connection into adulthood. Participants were invited to design and make their own stickers, bring stickers from home to trade, and gift them to others as a way of building connection through small, meaningful exchanges.
Funding from Coupe de Coeur, a haircut based art fundraiser, covered materials and venues, allowing participants of all ages to engage in hands on, experimental art making. These workshops became the foundation of Leung’s community engaged practice and led to opportunities such as developing youth programs for the Art Gallery of Ontario’s Free After Three initiative. The projects reflect Leung’s ongoing commitment to inclusive, care driven programming that fosters creativity, generosity, and shared joy.
